The "Big Brother VIP Kosovo 4" house continues to be a scene of strong tensions between residents, with Bia Khalifa and Alba Pollozhani recently taking center stage after a series of open clashes between them.
The situation escalated when videos began to be published on social networks where Bia takes Alba's doll, a Labubu, and pricks it several times with a needle, while saying her name.

After these images were shared, a good portion of people on social media reacted harshly, accusing Bia of performing "magic" on Alba, even linking this action to the fact that she is originally from Romania, a country that is often stereotypically associated with occult practices.

However, there is no evidence or official statement that Bia Khalifa's action was related to rituals or so-called "black magic" practices. In the context of a format like Big Brother, Bia's action could easily be interpreted as an attempt to provoke a reaction from the other party or even from the public.
And so as not to remain ignorant, what is "voodoo magic" and what does it mean?
What people are calling Bia's "magic" on Alba bears similarities to what is known in Western cultures as voodoo . Voodoo is a religious and mystical practice that originated primarily in West Africa and the Caribbean, particularly Haiti, and has evolved as a combination of religious rituals, traditional healing, and symbolism.

One of its most popular forms is "puppet rituals," where a puppet symbolizes a person, and the ritual is used to express emotions, pray for protection, or vent frustrations.
"Do they really work?"
Science has no evidence that actions such as “piercing the doll” while saying someone’s name have any real power over the other person. Furthermore, the use of dolls and rituals has a psychological function: people feel more empowered by expressing frustrations or to calm down emotionally.
So, what happened between Bia Khalifa and Alba is quite an entertaining drama, but it remains essential not to let fears and prejudices fueled by ignorance or malice cloud our judgment. :)
