During a screening of the film "Die My Love" in New York, Jennifer Lawrence revealed that she no longer had her dogs, after one of them bit her son.

She even said that after the incident she felt the desire to "destroy every dog," but the statement was not well received by followers.
“You don't abandon your dog just because you have kids. You have to teach your kids to respect the animal. Wow,” one Instagram user wrote under a video posted by E! News. “I don't like it anymore.”
That was enough and commentators erupted in negative comments towards the actress.
"I loved him so much... this is so disappointing. I hope people don't think this is normal behavior."
Another commenter, who said he had twins, added:
“I have twins and my dogs are family FOREVER. We are a pack. A home full of love, respect and devotion… DO BETTER, JENNIFER.”
Others focused on the language used by the actress, calling her statement "horrible."
“What is particularly concerning is using such a large platform to normalize giving up a dog after an incident that could have been prevented, and then talking so lightly about ‘destroying’ dogs,” one commenter wrote.
However, among the negative comments, the actress also had supporters.
"We don't know the situation. If she felt the dogs weren't safe around the children, we shouldn't judge a mother for a decision made for the safety of her children. A parent should ALWAYS choose the safety of the child," one comment read.
In the released video, Jennifer Lawrence talked about how motherhood has changed her perception of pets around young children.
"After I had kids, dogs started to seem very scary to me, it's like I don't recognize dogs anymore. I just see them as a threat."
