The music world made unexpected moves this year. New, interesting albums, sudden comebacks surprised the public, while Lady Gaga brought chaos and new energy to her album, Rosalía presented us with a masterpiece through sex and spirituality, and Bad Bunny traveled through time and space.
Below, the 10 best albums of the year:
Bad Bunny - "Debí Take More Photos"

On his sixth album, “Debí Tirar Más Fotos,” Bad Bunny takes listeners on a triumphant return to his homeland with 17 songs that traverse the rich mosaic of Puerto Rican genres. It’s an indigenous, joyful, and fresh project, where Bad Bunny takes the best moments from “Un Verano Sin Ti” and pushes the boundaries of his ever-experimental sound into the uncharted territories of Puerto Rican folk music and salsa.
Lady Gaga – “Mayhem”

In the lead-up to the release of Lady Gaga's latest album, "Mayhem," there was much talk about her return to her roots and identity. For Little Monsters, it was a long time coming, but the moment they'd been waiting for had finally arrived! Gaga sounds more authentic than ever from start to finish on this album, as she embraces and develops her core sound.
In one of the most ambitious and sonically diverse albums of her career, she combines Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie, Prince and her talent and muse during the "Fame Monster" period.
Rosalía – “LUX”

“Lux” sounds so unique and practically like nothing we’ve heard before! It’s this lack of respect for rules that makes the album a “shock to the system.” Essentially, the album triumphs because each song is deeply thought out and powerfully felt, connecting with big ideas about what we’re all doing in our lives. Rosalía grapples with pain and loss, anger and grief, sex and desire, love and adoration, as she tries to better understand who she is, how she loves, and what spiritual forces guide her.
Dijon – “Baby”

Dijon's music has an elastic connection to time and place, floating between eras, genres and moods, creating something as transcendent as it is familiar. Throughout his second album, fragments of sounds from different genres appear like rays of light that break the monotony of today's music.
“Baby” can best be described as “experimental,” but Dijon could also occupy a space closer to traditional R&B.
Geese - "Getting Killed"

The idea of ??rock music taking a “new direction” seems like a current concept in 2025. But then along comes Geese, with their wildly original third album, breaking the rules of rock music and turning it into a fresher, more edgy and surprisingly hilarious album. Every song pulses with uncertain discovery, ranging from soft-rock to screams and boogie.
Clipse – "Let God Sort Em Out"

In the first decade of the 2000s, few hip-hop artists had standards as high as the Clipse. Their first album since 2009 showed that Pusha T and Malice were still the kings of lyrics!
On the other hand, the new album brings a dangerous journey into the world of crime, fast roads and profiteering from loans and taxes. The album also has songs with dubbing, which are fantastic!
Tyler Childers - "Snipe Hunter"

Tyler Childers comes out with another album that is incredibly experimental! He sings about hunting and Hindu scriptures, citing songs from Cyndi Lauper to Stephen Foster, as well as exploring new sonic territories like garage rock and Phil Spector pop.
Wednesday – “Bleeds”

This is the band's sixth album and offers the original sounds of the North Carolina band, combining a bit of rock, dark sounds, vague music and bold and sharp lyrics! A wild and gothic odyssey, that you should definitely listen to!
Hayley Williams – "Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party"

Hayley Williams unexpectedly released her album "Ego Death" during a bachelorette party this summer, after initially releasing the collection of songs on her website. But while the launch was a bit messy, the album is pretty good.
Playboi Carti – “Music”

With “Music,” Playboi Carti clearly seems aware of his potential as a talent of his generation. There are moments where the sounds are played so well, creating the effect of stage lights being transmitted to a crowd of thousands of people. A star in the music industry, “Music” stands in the top 10 of this list.
