On Wednesday, October 22, Netflix released a short video for the upcoming fifth season of the popular series, where we see the development of the relationship between Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) and Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), as she enjoys her new life in Rome.
“We start with a beautiful woman. Next to her, a man. It’s clear they know each other well,” a voiceover is heard in the promotional video, which shows Emily and Marcello getting closer and closer. “Unable to keep their hands off each other, they finally share a kiss.”
In the clip we also see Marcello lightly touching Emily's leg during a dinner, smiling at her during a car ride, and the sweet moments they share in bed (chew-chew).
“Rome suits you very well,” her best friend, Mindy Chen (Ashley Park), tells her.

The rest of the video features footage of luxurious yacht trips, raucous parties and, as always, discussions about work.
“If we’re all here, who’s left in Paris?” Julien (Samuel Arnold) asks his colleagues, as the trailer ends with the words “Emily in Rome” appearing on the screen.
Season five follows the story between Emily and Marcello, which began last season when she transferred to the Agence Grateau office in Rome.
In addition to the returning cast, Park, Collins, Franceschini, Arnold and others, the new season adds the names Bryan Greenberg, Michèle Laroque and Minnie Driver.
