Jennifer Lopez's followers had to look at them two or three times to realize that the photos posted to her Instagram account were not of singer Gwen Stefani.
The reason? New footage from the preparations and filming of director Bill Condon's upcoming film, titled "Kiss of the Spider Woman," where Jennifer Lopez plays the role of Aurora, a very complex and beautiful figure who exists within the imagination of another character in the film.
In the photo, Lopez appears in a curly wig and a pink headband, a style inspired by the aesthetics of the '40s and '50s. In another image, she is seen in a bathtub, looking at clothing sketches, giving even more shine to her character.
"Stepping into the role of Aurora was like dancing in the golden age of cinema. Going back in time has never been so fun," Lopez wrote in the caption of the post.

Some followers reacted enthusiastically to Lopez's return to the cinema, while others compared her appearance to that of Gwen Stefani, commenting:
"At first I thought it was Gwen Stefani!"
"She looks like Gwen Stefani!"
The film is a new cinematic adaptation of the well-known novel by Manuel Puig.
The story takes place in a prison in a Latin American country during a dictatorial regime. Two men share a cell:
Valentin Arregui – a political prisoner dedicated to the revolutionary ideal.
Luis Molina – a gay man, imprisoned for "corruption of minors", who escapes his grim reality by imagining scenes from classic films.
Jennifer Lopez plays Aurora, a fictional figure who appears in Molina's film narratives, representing elegance, beauty, and escape from reality.
