From today until September 11, high school graduates declared winners at public and private universities will be able to register at the respective faculties, through seven 48-hour phases.
The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, has recalled the steps that young people must follow to register in their desired branch.
Each winning high school graduate has two days to register. If they do not register within the deadline, their spot will automatically be given to a waiting candidate.
After the completion of the registration phases, a deregistration period will also open for those who wish to change their major and return to the competition for the second round of admissions.
According to data from the Albanian Academic Network (RASH), the most popular programs this year are those in technology and engineering, followed by medicine. Meanwhile, teaching programs continue to be the least popular, with a percentage that does not exceed 7.5%, maintaining the same trend as previous years.
An increase has also been noticed in applications for professional branches, which are attracting more and more young people.
This year, over 20,000 high school graduates applied for studies at public and private universities, a figure that had not been achieved before.
