Fans of the legendary film "The Devil Wears Prada" have waited for hours in the scorching heat of Manhattan to get a close look at Meryl Streep and the rest of the cast filming the long-awaited sequel.
Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci were seen filming scenes at the Dior store, stylishly dressed and smiling despite the high temperatures. Across the street, on a shady corner, fans were lined up with their phones in hand, ready to take a photo, video or even a quick hello from Miranda Priestly, the extraordinary character played by Meryl Streep.

According to Variety, a Manhattan fan named Diana Nassar took time off work to snap a photo with the cast. She had been following every detail of the shoot on Instagram, but was disappointed to learn that she had missed a crucial scene that had been filmed right in front of her office earlier in the week.

After sharing her frustration on social media, other fans helped her by pointing her to a possible filming location on Madison Avenue. Although the address turned out to be incorrect, she was lucky enough to meet a member of the production team who not only pointed her in the right direction, but also showed her other parts of the filming schedule, and even gave her a bottle of water to "stay hydrated."
Meanwhile, 20th Century Studios (part of Disney) has not released details on where the upcoming filming will take place, but this information is constantly being made public.

Amal Matmati, another fan from New York, decided to brave the heat just to see the film's "fashion, actors and costumes."
"We just saw Meryl Streep getting out of the car," said Allison Stewart, a tourist from Scotland who was in New York on vacation when she learned about the filming.
"But that's enough for me!"
"The Devil Wears Prada" was released in 2006 and became an instant global success, presenting the glittering world of fashion in the face of ambition.
