A picture is worth a thousand words.
David Beckham celebrated Mother's Day by posting a touching photo from the archive, showing his wife Victoria Beckham with their four children — including Brooklyn, despite reports of a rift between them.
In the photo posted to Instagram Story on Sunday, Victoria is seen holding newborn Harper in her arms, while sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz smile towards the camera.
"Happy Mother's Day to the best mom," David, 50, wrote in the caption of the photo. He also added a wish for followers in the US, as Mother's Day in the UK is celebrated in March. David also tagged all the children — including Brooklyn.
This post comes just a month after it was reported that there was a rift between brothers Brooklyn, 26, and Romeo, 22, over the latter's relationship with Kim Turnbull — who reportedly had a brief relationship with Brooklyn before.
However, sources close to the family claim that the conflict is not related to jealousy, but to Kim's possible intentions to get involved with another Beckham.
Tensions have been running high, especially after Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, failed to attend any of David's 50th birthday celebrations. According to sources for Page Six, the couple hasn't attended any family events since December 2024.
“It was no surprise, but no one believed they would ignore David’s birthday,” a source said. “They’ve had plenty of opportunities to be with the family… their behavior has been disappointing.”
According to the same source, David and Victoria are always present at the Brooklyn-Nicola couple's events, like the launch of Brooklyn's hot sauce brand or Nicola's movie premieres. "This is just so sad," they added.
Another source told TMZ that David and Victoria themselves may have influenced Brooklyn's departure from the family. According to them, Nicola doesn't like the way David "scolds" or "screams" at Brooklyn on the phone for hours and always comes to his defense when his parents criticize him.
Brooklyn's relationship with his family has changed significantly since he began dating Nicola in 2019, culminating in a lavish wedding in 2022 — which was rumored to be a disagreement between him and Victoria over wedding details.
Despite alleged attempts by David and Victoria to resolve the conflicts, sources claim that they are unwilling to include Nicola in these conversations, as she always "opposes" and defends Brooklyn.
However, David's Mother's Day post — with Brooklyn in the foreground — seems like an attempt to convey a message of peace. At least virtually.
