The black eyeliner has seemingly had its day. From cat eyes to black eyeliner and voluminous lashes, the defining black pigment of the eye has been the standard for decades, and the black eyeliner has been a staple in a makeup routine. But the game is changing.
First came the brown eyeshadow trend, which gave a more natural look to the overall makeup. Recently, some girls are even avoiding eyeshadow altogether thanks to the clean, girly aesthetic that has been all the rage lately.
However, instead of going all out, there are two popular brush choices lately: embrace bold colors or just go for that brown. And Hailey Bieber just endorsed the latter.
In a TikTok posted on Saturday, April 19, Hailey gave her followers a sneak peek into her evening makeup routine. Notable was her use of a brown pencil for her makeup brush.
Bieber started by lining her upper eyelid with it and then used her finger to blend it upwards for a natural smudge. She then applied it to her lower lash line as well.
Brown eyeliner offers a softer look and makes you look much more sophisticated than black eyeliner. Often, black eyeliner looks too overdone.
The brown brush is simply the perfect choice for the hot summer days ahead, where we all know very well that a drop of black brush doesn't make us look that pretty.
