Welcome to one of the most sacred spaces of Albanian fashion: the BBVA Imaginary Museum. Here you won't find the Mona Lisa, but you will travel from Donald's famous jeans to Gjesti's pink ring, under dramatic lighting that will teleport you to the period when these reality show icons lived. Let's start with the guide:
Hall 1: “The Legacy of Donald Veshaj's Jeans”
At the center of this room are a pair of jeans that have seen more cameras than most of us in our entire lives. Baggy, barely used - but super comfortable - these Donald jeans from BBVA 1 have become a symbol of style |I came, I put on whatever I could get my hands on and voila : I look super cool.
Note on the wall: This object had an immediate impact on the styles of boys across Albania and beyond.
Hall 2: “Dazzling Sparkle (alias Arjola Demiri)”
The lighting here is intentionally exaggerated – to represent every sparkly dress Arjola has ever worn. Every look on her journey to BBVA said: "I'm a diva and I need to make sure that all of humanity knows it."
A museum visitor was heard to say: "I once ran into Arjola Demir on the street and couldn't see her face because of the blinding reflection of her hair."
Room 3: “The Ruthless Prints – starring Tan Brama”
This room is visually tiring. And that's exactly what Tan Brama would have wanted. His costumes with roses, suns, celestial bodies and whatever other print there is, remained deep in the memory of the Albanian public.
In a corner of the hall stands a poster that says: "Normal is boring." Now we know who said it first.
Room 4: “The pajamas that won an Oscar – Egla Ceno”
In this soft setting, with warm lights and the scent of chamomile in the air, Egla's checkered pajamas are on display. They have become a symbol of stability, comfort, and peace of mind. Ironically, these are qualities that the character who wore them did not put into practice much.
An explanatory board with an anonymous quote at the bottom says: "When you're the queen in times of war, a dress is the last thing you need."
Hall 5: “Red Carpet in Kashar – Franceska Murati”
This is the area where you walk in with sneakers and walk out feeling like you're walking on a red carpet. Francesca's dresses are so luxurious that a German visitor fainted twice from her lack of modesty.
Glitter, tulle, drama, class, princess in the morning, femme fatale in the evening. Anyone could find themselves in Francesca's style.
Room 6: “The ring that made more noise than his relationship – The gesture”
In a glass box, lit in neon pink, lies Gjesti's famous ring. That ring was never just an accessory, but a revolt: "I put it on and I don't plan on taking it off."
One of the visitors asked: "Why, is it from Swarovski?" and the museum staff laughed at the little girl's naivety.
Hall 7: “Earrings that rivaled cathedrals – Rozana Radi”
Rozana's earrings were not for the faint of heart. If you've ever looked at Rozana and thought, "Wow, what a strong woman she looks like," now you know why - she carried half the weight of the world on her shoulders.
The exhibition is accompanied by background audio: "Her voice? Powerful. The power of the ears: Chilling to the core."
And with this motivating closing, visitors left the museum changed once and for all.
