Although on the surface Olsi Bylyku's appearance on "BBVA 4" to meet his former partner, Eglin, seemed like an act of gratitude for the years they spent together (although without any logical connection to the current game), we essentially think it was a well-thought-out business move and a return to Top Channel's orbit.
After his not-so-subtle departure from "BBVA 3", and then the release of songs directly referring to Top Channel ("Pikë", "Njesoj"), while also mentioning the pressure to maintain the relationship with Top Channel ("Don't worry, you don't need Top"), Olsi seemed to have closed every door with this platform. He even started a lawsuit after Top Channel sued him for image damage, turning the conflict into a personal and institutional clash.
But his recent appearance on " The Dalina Show " provided another perspective on Olsi's current mission and ambitions: to support and manage young, unknown artists who do not have easy access to the industry dominated by "big names."
And here comes the turning point: he has realized that to bring this vision to life, he cannot avoid Top Channel. This is an important canary for:
- music promotion in the Albanian market (Top Awards, Top List, Top Albania Radio, music shows, other shows),
- participation in formats that produce virality (BBVA, Për'puthen, E Diell, etc.),
- and, most recently, the film industry where Top Channel is recently investing, a field that Olsi definitely has an interest in as an actor and producer.
So, meeting Eglin, as emotional as it is, is more of a return to the Topi scene - he's not just a special guest or the perfect ex-boyfriend who speaks well of you, but a figure seeking to restore relations with the industry and with the very media that once opened the door to launch his career.
And in fact, it's not just Olsi who benefits from this, Top Channel also has its own benefits: a return to his image, especially in a "confrontation" with Egli, means more viewership.
For this reason, Olsi's appearance at BBVA is not (just) about gratitude towards Egli. It is a negotiation. And above all: it is business.
At the end of the day, there's nothing wrong with it because it's a mutually beneficial relationship, although, unfortunately, it was at the expense of Egli, who probably didn't want her ex-boyfriend to appear on "Big Brother."
