With spring just around the corner, it's time to refresh your bedrooms to suit the season, little by little. And don't be skeptical: you don't have to do anything extraordinary!
Believe it or not, the environment that surrounds us completely affects the way we feel. Now that the sun's rays are more generous, you don't intend to keep the same thick winter curtains at home, do you? Here are 7 ways to "freshen up" your bedroom (and not only) as the spring season itself requires:
Open the windows.
It's finally that time of year where we can let some fresh air and sunshine in! Give your windows and TV a quick cleaning if you want to do this job right, so you can fully enjoy nature's work during this magical time of year.
Bring some flower branches inside.
Nothing says spring like fresh flowers plucked from the garden. And don't do that to store-bought bouquets - they're much more stale than flowers you pluck from your own (or someone else's ;) ) garden! Place a few sprigs in a few vases of fresh water and scatter them around the bedside tables of your bedrooms.
Change the sheets.
A fresh set of sheets sounds like something no one would say no to. And by "fresh" we mean a new purchase of the set, or a lighter color. Choose white, milky, or yellow, which are sure to bring more joy.
Include spring colors
One of the easiest ways to "upgrade" your bedroom is by changing decorative touches like pillows, lamps, or even lampshades. Buy accessories in light, "clean" color versions.
Repaint the walls.
A fresh coat of paint does wonders. Painting or wallpapering will make your room look brand new.
Rearrange the furniture
In many bedrooms, the furniture you choose should make sense for the bed. Take this opportunity to also do a deep clean under all those areas you haven't touched in a while! Choose small bedside tables and remove the ones that don't serve any purpose, you don't want to take up space!
Change the carpets/rugs
You don't have to spend a fortune to make a big impact. And a new rug makes a big difference, like one with stripes and colors that look really nice, for example.
