The older you get, the more you realize that age really does increase one's wisdom, and our grandparents were right about a lot of things all along. Here are some of the "old-age habits" that younger people have adopted into their lives and swear have made them better.
1. "I can't wear anything but comfortable shoes. I only wear shoes that help me feel more comfortable, no matter what they look like. I can't put the comfort and health of my poor heels before looking good in an uncomfortable pair of shoes."
2. "I wash the dishes while I'm cooking. That way there's not a lot to clean up after I'm done eating."
3. "I avoid rush hour traffic as much as I can. I make sure I'm home before 3pm so I can avoid the madness of traffic and the unprecedented stress that comes with it!"
4. "My home is filled with family photos, personal memories, and items that have meaning to me. It's so much more cozy and meaningful when I look around. I love it that way!"
5. "Pockets. I don't buy anything without pockets. Why carry a bag full of things that weigh you down?"
6. "I do exercises in bed in the morning! It's warm, comfortable, and makes it easier to get out of bed."
7. "I make it a routine to start my day by making the bed in the morning before I leave the room. Somehow, my day is much more organized!"
8. "I buy some ready-made meals to put in the freezer for days when I don't have the energy to cook. That way, dinner is always easier."
9. "I soak my feet in warm salt water after work. It's great for calluses and gives me deep relaxation."
10. "Going to bed as early as I can. My friends make fun of me, but no one is sleeping as well as I am."
11. "As soon as I get home, I take my bra off. My grandmother never wore bras at home and I couldn't understand why when I was young. Now I do. It's so much more comfortable!"
