1 week after her sudden departure from the "Big Brother" house, Egli has made a long reaction on her social networks where she explains all the reasons that led her to leave and her current emotional state.
She began her statement by thanking all the people who had been interested in her health and emotional state since leaving the house. Egli then explained:
"I want to start by telling you that I feel sad and burdened, but I am not in any psychiatric hospital or anything like that. I have many people around me who are investing everything they have so that I can regain the strength to love myself very much! Thank you God!"
As we said in a previous article, the production did not broadcast many scenes where Gjesti was the one performing romantic acts towards Egli, which she addressed as follows:
"The misfortune of the narrative of our history (if you allow me to call it that) in the media, I think, was the fact that there was no voice, at least sufficiently, to the images where I was quoted speeches, romantic approaches and confirmations that a feeling had arisen, that there is an appreciation, attraction and liking, that he sees a perspective up to that of the 'wife' in the future, that 'he couldn't stay away from me' and so on, as only a partner or someone in this attempt can address you..."
It was precisely these actions, according to Egli, that pushed him to the point of "not respecting himself", as he was often accused of:
"I can't read feelings, but I read actions as such, honest.
For this reason, I chose to stay true to my feelings, to fight for them and not deny them, as he himself asked me to do. I tried hard to understand his strategic game with the rest of the house, even when that game violated my self-respect."
Egli described her actions and reactions as those of a girl in love, and that's how she was in love, "caring more about the other than herself."
"As a person who does a lot for others, to the point of selflessness, I attract narcissism to me, your opposite attracts you," she said, implying that she now sees Gest's actions as oriented solely in the service of his ego.
Further stating that "it's not the first time" something like this has happened to her, she explained that her previous statement inside the house that "Gesti reminded her of Olsi Bylyku" was precisely about this personality trait, narcissism.
Although Egli explained that she is now well and in the care of her family, she did not hesitate to admit that she still had feelings for Gesti, without ever mentioning his name directly:
"I continue to have feelings, I can't turn them off with a button, but staying at a distance makes me feel colder about reality and less emotionally affected by the 24/7 presence, which until the moment of leaving, was impossible to avoid. It affected me a lot emotionally. The longing is more manageable for me than the presence. I'm slowly working on myself to get stronger."
Egli further expressed her gratitude for all the beautiful moments between them, but she cut off the possibility of her meeting Gjesti outside the house, saying that it would not make sense since he stated that they could never have a romantic relationship with each other.
"I had become redundant in his eyes and I was often told the phrase 'you and me in this house'. 'You're making it impossible for me to stay here, you're ruining my game that I sacrificed for' etc. For a man who destroys the game and himself, to protect and fight for someone else's game, it's depressing to hear this."
Although Gest's antagonistic actions towards each other became too much for Eglin and led to her leaving the house, she still concluded her statement in support of him and grateful for the positive emotions he had given her during their stay at home:
