There are some things in life that are strictly forbidden, like stealing someone's ice cream. But the mother of a 4-year-old boy in Wisconsin broke that rule, and the little boy taught her a good lesson: she called the police.
Police were called after 911 received a call from a 4-year-old boy who said his mother needed to be arrested.
"My mom did something bad," he told the 911 operator, according to an audio recording obtained by CNN.
Next, officers went to the toddler's home to make sure that eating ice cream wasn't the 4-year-old's excuse for a more serious situation.
When officers arrived, the boy confirmed that his mother had eaten the ice cream and again demanded that she go to jail for it, according to police. Police say he eventually agreed not to press charges against his mother, saying he didn't want her to go to jail. His only request was this: "I want ice cream!"
Two days later, officers surprised him by showing up at the little boy's house with ice cream.
