The public television show "Jetë Shqiptare" (Albanian Life) has been off the air for two months without any explanation to the public. The decision was reportedly made without any warning to the program's co-author and co-host, Elona Jaçellari, who made a statement on her social media.

"Today, I want to share an important message among us about the violation of my professional and human dignity. Found in the situation where I have been unemployed for two months in the most absurd and inhumane circumstances, I chose to speak out in the face of this injustice, even though generally in such situations I choose to remain silent, learn my lesson and move forward," Jaçellari began her statement.
The journalist further revealed that on December 31, 2024, through third-party sources, she was notified that the director of RTSH, Aurora Polo, decided to immediately and unannouncedly suspend her show, "Jetë Shqiptare".

Jaçellari continued to explain that beyond this 'unfair suspension', Director Polo also made promises about the continuation of her employment at RTSH, which, even 2 months after the suspension on December 31, have still not been kept.
Anabel contacted Elona Jaçellari, who informed us more about her public reaction. The journalist stated that even though the show "Jetë Shqiptare" was the most watched on all television, the director of RTSH made the decision to terminate the contract during its review period, which was precisely December 2024.
Meanwhile, according to the decisions of the RTSH Steering Council, a decision was adopted on September 30, 2024 that television programming should continue regularly and unchanged until July 2025.
