The Mane Foundation and the Italian Embassy in Tirana bring to the gallery "aDigital Perspective", which brings together as rarely ten young artists from Italy and the Balkans, with a similar and different perspective on art and digital influence on it. This exhibition comes as a cultural project of the Italian Institute of Culture of Tirana, Belgrade and Bucharest, while inviting art lovers to reflect on the optimistic future of the artistic landscape. Under this invitation, which will be valid until March 31, the exhibition's works are presented as diverse as their techniques, albeit analogous, such as installation, painting, photography, etc.
The invitation was issued during the inaugural evening, among the personalities, artists and well-known figures of the public scene, while the condition remains only the desire. Entrance to the Gallery "GOCAT" is free of charge. During his greeting address, the Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Tirana, Alessandro Ruggera, described the exhibition as an opportunity "to understand not only the impact that technologies have on creativity, but also on building our interpersonal identity and relationships."
Marco Bassan, curator of the exhibition and founder of Spazio Taverna, a renowned multidisciplinary and dynamic centre of contemporary art in Italy, describes aDigital Perspective as the intersection of two worlds. As a reflection of Italian artists who are focused on viewing art history and interpreting it through the lens of the digital world, Balkan artists, who, unlike the former, enjoy more social and political access, and who
find digitalization quite challenging. Bassan judges that such an exhibition would not communicate its message to any other gallery as in GOCAT.
"Although it is a new space, I have to say that the GALLERY "GOCAT" has gained an important role in the contemporary art of the capital and that it is simply the right place for the "aDigital Perspective" exhibition," he says.
The Artistic Director of gocat Gallery, Ena Bulku, appreciates the exhibition itself as the successful fruit of the Mane Foundation's cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Tirana. Further, Bulku describes the dynamic, youthful exhibition, which reinforces the fact that technology, like everything else, traverses a trajectory between memories, personal experiences and beliefs.
Aftermoments believes technology is a big advantage of time, but it remains relative to what it represents and how it works. What Constantin brings to the gallery visitors are pieces of her childhood, namely reworked and sewn photographs that shape a rgani touched by the fragmented resolution of pixels. "Feelings are the last resistance to a programmed world, and I believe that the heart will always triumph over reason," she says when asked about the work.
After Tirana, the exhibition "aDigital Perspective" will be opened in the cities of Bucharest, Belgrade and Pristina, with the same kind request – to pause a little longer in that whirlwind of discussion sparked by technological innovation and art transformation.
