Kendrick Lamar, one of the most successful artists of recent times, had nothing to prove in the highly anticipated Super Bowl spectacle, but that didn't stop the rapper from giving a legendary performance.
After winning Grammy Awards a week ago – five to be exact for his smash hit “Not Like Us” – Kendrick Lamar became the first rapper to perform solo at the Super Bowl.
He started the performance with "wacced out murals" and "Bodies", then moved on to a series of hits, including "Squabble up", "Humble", "DNA", "Luther", "All the Stars" and more.
Some fans questioned whether Lamar would use the Super Bowl stage to reprise his diss with Drake, the target of his now iconic song “Not Like Us.” Yes, he did — and with a smile on his face.
