
Apparently the world really is orange. In the 1950s and 1960s, three-quarter length pants reached their peak of popularity. The biggest stars of the era wore them, including Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and Grace Kelly. Since then, they have fallen out of fashion, only to reappear in the 1980s and early 2000s, but not with the same enthusiasm as before.
The late icon, Princess Diana also wore a strikingly similar pair of trousers in July 1986, styled with a pink sweater.
Reformation's new pants go against the trend, because recent years have been characterized by wide and long pants.
