A few hours before the Grammys, Kanye West returned to social media and caused a stir by briefly following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He then chose to only follow his wife, Bianca Censori, with whom he arrived at the event.
West arrived on the red carpet ahead of Swift, who is nominated for several awards this year with her album The Tortured Poets Department. He reportedly left before she arrived.
Before Swift appeared on the red carpet in her short red dress — an obvious reference to the Kansas City Chiefs and her partner, Travis Kelce — West left the ceremony. However, there are conflicting reports on what happened.
According to Page Six, West was ejected from the event. A source told the outlet that police escorted him and Censori out after a "crazy moment with their red carpet attire," referring to the fact that Censori arrived wearing (or rather, naked) a see-through dress.
Meanwhile, TMZ denied this version, reporting that the police were not involved. A source close to the Recording Academy said that West was invited to the Grammys as a nominee for the “Best Rap Song” category and that he “walked the red carpet, got in his car willingly and drove away,” adding that “police and Grammy security were not involved at all.”
