According to you, these are the most Albanian customs that could exist

We asked you: What are the typical customs and situations that only happen in Albania? The answers didn't surprise us at all, because we experience them every day too. In Albania, everything has its own unique style - for better or for worse!

First up, what we were all waiting for: Coffee

In Albania, coffee is not just a drink, it is a lifestyle. From breakfast to dinner, a coffee table becomes a place for conversations, plans and gossip. It is no wonder that a “quick coffee” can last two hours. And as an unwritten rule, one always pays for all!

RANKS

When it comes to waiting in line, Albanians are very creative. If you walk into a store or a hospital, there is always someone who finds a way to spend money. This is not a lack of manners - at least that's what we think!

Spontaneous conversations with strangers

On the bus, in the store, or on the street, Albanians don't recognize the concept of being a stranger. A "how are you?" or "where are you from?" is always the ideal introduction to a conversation that can last until you get off the bus or finish shopping.

Cars and pavement: A complicated relationship

In Albania, the sidewalk is not just for pedestrians. Cars park everywhere, often even at the entrances of shops. And emergency lights are used for a quick stop for bread - a "life-threatening" emergency, of course!

Friend for everything

Need a doctor's appointment, a job, or a favor? In Albania, there is always someone who knows someone. This social connection is the most powerful weapon and often solves any problem.

Always ready for an event

Albanians attach importance to appearance. Whether for a walk in the neighborhood or for a coffee with friends, we always look like we are going to a party. Because, a beautiful outfit is part of our daily life.

Neighbor: Albanian “Google”

In Albania, the neighbor is the main source of information. From personal matters to political issues, neighbors always have something to add. And yes, knocking for a glass of yogurt remains a classic ritual.

Slowly, but with a lot of style

While in the Western world everything is done in a hurry, Albanians know how to savor the moment. A conversation over coffee, a leisurely walk or even a lunch that lasts for hours are part of our culture. This cannot happen in another country without a waiter asking you to leave.

In Albania, things work according to our own rules - and sometimes, that's what makes our lives so special.

Mendimi juaj?
