Little Mix star Jade Thirwall has revealed an embarrassing incident that happened to her with singer Harry Styles when he was just starting out in One Direction on The X Factor.
The singer, 32, revealed that during auditions in the UK in 2010, a romance blossomed between her and Harris.
"We went on a romantic date when we were about 16," she said.
But there was never a second meeting, as the singer enjoyed tremendous success in live performances and this, according to Jade, was the reason why he simply chose to never write to her again.
"And then the moment they went to the live performances he didn't text me back," she said of Styles, 30, who went on to compete on the show as part of the boy band One Direction alongside Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne.
The following year, Thirlwall also had considerable success on "X Factor", as part of the group "Little Mix", along with Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
She also recalled running into Styles backstage when One Direction was invited to perform at the show that year.
"I saw him in a room and he said, 'I'm so sorry I ignored you,'" Thirlwall said.
Thirlwall isn't the only Little Mix singer to have had a romance with a One Direction member. Edwards was in a relationship with Zayn Malik for four years before their relationship ended in 2015.
