Ariana Grande's transformation for the movie "Wicked" has still left a lasting effect on her.
In an interview for "Variety", the 31-year-old actress and singer, who plays the role of Galinda/Glinda in the musical film, said that her role "required a lot of vocal work" and as a result, Glinda's voice can "live" with him.
"Some things will probably not go away. Some will disappear, but I am so grateful for the parts that will stay with us forever. What a beautiful thing to leave and feel the spirit of every day,” Grande said, before talking about another change from her role.
The next change is related to the physical appearance.
"I'm still looking for my eyebrows," she said in the interview published on Thursday, January 2. "I'll let you know if I find them—I hope not."
The Grammy Award winner also said that perhaps people underestimate the time and work involved in these transformations.
"So when certain reflexes or speech patterns take time to wear off, sometimes people make jokes," she said.
"But we had a job to do and we had things to transform, because that's what the role required."
Grande added that she was more than happy to put in the work required, both physical and otherwise, to play Glinda, a role she has long called her "dream role."
"I've been looking for [producer] Marc Platt for about 10 years, asking when this movie was going to happen, when I'd get a chance to audition," she said.
The "7 Rings" hitmaker also admitted that she "had a little wardrobe all pink and stuff, just in case she got the role of a lifetime."
"I was thinking, 'What underwear would Glinda wear today?'" Grande joked.
Wicked is now available to buy or rent digitally, while pre-orders are open for the film's 4K, Blu-ray and DVD launch on February 4.
