Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reached a divorce settlement after an eight-year legal battle, according to her lawyer.
The couple, who married in 2014 and have six children, were among the most popular couples in the entertainment industry and were dubbed "Brangelina" by the press.
Jolie filed for divorce in 2016 and later, in separate court proceedings, it emerged that she had accused Pitt of being abusive towards her and two of their children on a private jet that same year.
Pitt was not charged following a police investigation into the incident and has denied the allegations.
His lawyers have not commented publicly on the divorce settlement.
Jolie's attorney, James Simon, said in a statement that his client has been focused on "finding peace and healing for their family" since the divorce proceedings began.
He continued: "This is just one part of a long process that started eight years ago. Honestly, Angelina is tired, but she is relieved that this part is over."
The couple was embroiled in a custody battle in the first months after the divorce was announced. They agreed to a joint settlement in 2021.
While Jolie's lawyers have said a divorce settlement has been reached, it remains unclear whether this will end another legal battle between them over a French vineyard.
They are involved in an ongoing dispute over Chateau Miraval, which they bought together in 2008 and where their marriage took place.
In 2022, Pitt accused Jolie of selling her stake in the property to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler without his knowledge. Jolie has not commented publicly on the lawsuit at the time.
The couple met on the set of the 2005 film Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and their relationship attracted international media attention.
The marriage was the second for Pitt, after a relationship with the star of the series "Friends", Jennifer Aniston.
It was Jolie's third marriage, after actors Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller.
