A moment of tension recently occurred in the "Big Brother VIP" house, raising questions about the tendency to create dramatic scenes that often end up in the spotlight on Prime.
The incident began when two residents, Xumi and Zebervoki, got into a heated argument over a toilet situation. Both seemed determined to enter the space at the same time, inciting tension among the other residents, who intervened to prevent a more serious situation.
In the middle of the debate, Xumi said:
"Whoever stops my freedom of speech, come with me to the toilet. Come on. If anyone has anything. Be a bunch of scumbags.”
On the other hand, Zebervoki answered him:
"What's the toilet job for?" For nomination work? Come on, let's go together, get up!"
The fight continued and they headed for the bathroom, until the rest of the residents intervened to avoid a further escalation. They are based on a moment that brought strong reactions in "BBVA2" which was Luiz entering the toilet with Armando and Cristina, as well as Sara's attempt to enter the toilet with Francesca. Residents have speculated that the duo going into the toilet could end up on the televote, turning this situation into a (tiring) strategy to attract public attention.
After the incident, Xumi clarified to the residents that the situation was a kind of "strategy" to create a dramatic scene to be aired during the prime time:
"We will stage a skit, we will make a drama, we will make a comedy. Like what I do," he said, adding that everything was meant for the audience.
This explanation, however, did not calm Eglin, who expressed concern by explaining that dramatic and unexpected situations caused her fear and tachycardia. Such situations raise questions about the authenticity of the dynamics at home. Trying to mimic the dynamics of past editions the residents are getting boring. And most importantly, the public seems to be losing interest in "toilet entrances" and "exaggerated" scenes, which are becoming clichéd and boring.
