Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot want to be the most beautiful of all in "Snow White", the film adapted from one of the most popular animated films.
On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Disney released a full trailer for the remake of the 1937 animated classic, starring Zegler, 23, as Princess Snow White.
The trailer shows Gadot, 39, as Snow White's stepmother, aka the Evil Queen, with a magical mirror on the wall and a poison apple up her sleeve. Also appearing are Snow White's seven dwarfs: Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy and Sneezy.
Marc Webb directed Snow White, which features new original songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
Zegler, known for her acting and vocals in films like 'West Side Story' and 'The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,' sings "Waiting on a Wish" in the trailer, which also shows her struggle against the Evil Queen to reclaim her kingdom.
Currently starring in Broadway's Romeo + Juliet, Zegler told Variety in October that "one of the key points" in this "Snow White" is that "for every young woman or young man to remember how strong they are in true."
Director Webb also told the paper why Zegler was perfect for the role:
"[She] has a natural grace and poise and kindness that reminds me so much of what is essential about Snow White."
Gadot previously told PEOPLE that this role of "the bad guy" was something she took very seriously. The Wonder Woman actress added:
"For me it was important to make sure the queen wasn't just evil for the sake of being evil. There's a complexity to it. Between the two characters, it's like a mother-daughter relationship in a weird way. That's what happens to a woman when she feels like she is no longer relevant, what can come out of her".
Snow White hits theaters March 21.
