Water is essential for good health and for the functioning of every system in our body. Since about 60% of the human body is made up of water, it is imperative to maintain hydration levels to fuel the cells and keep the brain and body in shape.

In addition to drinking water, hydration can also be supplemented by foods with a high water content, such as cucumbers, watermelon, peppers and tomatoes. However, many of us do not consume enough water each day, often replacing it with drinks rich in sugar or alcohol, which can dehydrate the body even more.

But what happens to your body if you don't drink enough water? Here are 8 unpleasant consequences you may experience:
