The producer Jokansa Kuqi of the new TV series, "Tenxherja-Kapakun", on Top Channel, recently gave an interview to "Pardon my French", where she discussed the entire process of creating the series.
To begin with, the producer explained the reason for selecting the "Love Bugs" patent, saying that "it is a patent that has been very successful in 30 countries around the world and she has always dreamed of having it, as she knows it very well."
She further confessed that:
"It takes a lot of work to get a patent for cinematographic productions. It took me a year to get it.”
When asked by the moderators about the selection of the two protagonists, Elvana Gjatan and Romeo Veshajn, in the role of Bela and Romi, Kuqi said:
"They are the best actors in my opinion. In Elvana, I saw Elvana and only Evana [for the role]. If Elvana did not accept my invitation, this project would not be done."
As for the role of Romeo, she continued: "There were two names I had in mind, besides Romeo, [I also had] Nik Xhelilajn." We auditioned and Romeo won."
Among other things, the producer revealed that the selection of the director for the first three episodes of the series, Dalina Buzi, happened by chance and at a critical moment for the realization of the project:
"Dalina has been a great support when I was in a very critical moment. It was only 48 hours, I didn't have a director [of the last few changes]. Dalina happened to be there and said: 'I definitely won't leave you in the mud'."
To the claims that the project is copied, Kuqi responded:
"It's not called copying, it's buying patents. There is no way to copy a project and have the courage to broadcast it on Top Channel, in prime time. This is patent, like Big Brother's."
