Florida Doçi is another Albanian success story, which has reached one of the largest technology companies in the world - Microsoft. She completed her higher studies at the University of Windsor, where she graduated in two fields: Political Science and Biological Science and Biotechnology. Currently, she is one of the main artificial intelligence (AI) researchers at Microsoft, playing an important role in the development and implementation of AI technologies for the products of this global company.
In a post on Lindedin, she said:
“I can't put into words how excited I am to be joining Microsoft as a Principal Researcher, where I will help bring artificial intelligence to Microsoft's collaborative spaces. Microsoft enables billions of people around the world to be productive, creative, stay connected and achieve more, and I can't think of a better way to make an impact on the world and change people's lives than through a so comprehensive product! From my first computer, to my first Hotmail account (which I still use!), from MSN Messenger 'winks' and 'nudges' to endless Skype calls with family and friends, from multiple assignments and academic papers conceived in Word, to research projects analyzed in Excel and all posters, presentations and portfolios illustrated in PowerPoint, Microsoft products have been a constant companion to my dreams, ambitions and achievements throughout my life.”
She told about her childhood, where she didn't have a computer and had to draw screens.
“So joining Microsoft is not only a professional achievement for me, but also an incredible moment for that little girl who grew up without a computer and learned MS Office by drawing and memorizing screens and commands. I am so grateful to everyone who made my interviewing and hiring experience at Microsoft unforgettable, and I especially thank Davis Wanless, who has been there for me every step of the way! I look forward to writing this new chapter of my career at Microsoft", she concluded.
