If you like to make a drastic change, choose a hair color that contrasts with your natural hair tones. For example, cool platinum color on warm toned skin creates a wonderful look. Or for a more natural look, choose a shade within a few levels of your natural hair color.
Consider the maintenance you need to do to your hair
Before dyeing your hair, consider how long you are able to maintain the new color. For example, a transformation from brunette to blonde is great, but your roots will need constant attention.
