Tom Holland has confirmed it! "Spider-Man 4" begins filming next year! During his interview on October 22 on "The Tonight Show", Holland said:
"It's happening! Next summer we start filming, we have everything ready".
He further enthused: "It's very exciting. I can't wait."
The upcoming Spider-Man film is a sequel to 2021's Spider-Man, No Way Home, with Holland joined in the cast and Tobey Maguire with Andrew Garfield, the two previous protagonists of the saga, thus honoring the story from 2 decades of "Spider-Man" films.
Since then, updates on the fourth film have been few and far between, however Holland and studio executives have always stated that a sequel would be made.
Meanwhile, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have yet to officially announce a Spider-Man 4, and it's unclear whether Zendaya will return to her role as Michelle "MJ" Jones for the upcoming film.
However, Holland recently said during a podcast appearance on October 17 that he and Zendaya, who is also his real-life partner, have read a script proposal together for his upcoming role as Peter Parker.
"There are a few things we need to clear up before we actually start it [the film], but it's exciting," he said. "And I'm really excited about the future."
