Gypsy Rose Blanchard is trying to put past trauma behind her, saying she intends to avoid awkward conversations about her late mother, Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard, when her child is born.
The now-famous ex-convict opened up on Nick Viall's podcast, "The Viall Files," on Wednesday about how she will approach her complicated past when her daughter, who she will welcome to boyfriend Ken Urker next year.
According to Gypsy Rose, she finds it "heartbreaking" that her mother will not have a relationship with her young daughter, admitting that she "occasionally" thinks about what could have happened.
Recall that she spent 7 years in prison for her role in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee, by her ex-boyfriend, Nicholas "Nick" Godejohn, in June 2015. Gypsy Rose has accused her mother of the proceedings medically unnecessary to her and abuse.
However, it seems that Gypsy Rose doesn't plan on bringing up the past with her daughter ... admitting that her stepmother, Kristy Blanchard, "has become more of a mother to her than her own mother, and Kristy will be a grandmother."
Gypsy Rose also responded to the negative comments she has received since announcing her pregnancy.
"What bothers me the most is that people have this stigma on new parents who come from a life full of trauma, 'You've been through this, so you're going to continue this cycle with your child.'" Gypsy Rose defended her stance saying it's an "unfair" opinion, stressing that she's taken steps to make sure she's "mentally stable enough to be a parent."
