It seems that Jennifer Lopez is in the era of self-love. Almost two months after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck, the "Let's Get Loud" singer is being honest after the decision where "the whole world judged and exploded" according to her, bringing another perspective on the separation.
"You have to be complete if you want something more complete," Lopez told comedian Nikki Glaser in an interview with "Interview." "A man should be fine with himself. I thought I learned that, but I didn't. And then, this summer, I had to convince myself that a man should be fine with himself even when he's alone."
Without mentioning Affleck by name, Lopez added: “Being in a relationship doesn't define me for who I am. I cannot look for happiness in other people. I must find happiness as a thread within myself.”

The singer says that she is not looking for another relationship at the moment and is focusing all her focus and energy on herself. "I'm not looking for anybody, because everything I've done in the last 25, 30 years has been quite challenging situations. Why shouldn't I be free?" she concluded.
But despite the request for divorce from Affleck, the artist says that she is not upset about this fact.
"I know that everything that is written and said about me and all the guesses about who I am as a person are not indicative of the person that I really am. I learned this a long time ago from the challenges that life has given me. My family, friends, my father, my children all know me and know who I am," she concludes.
Jennifer filed for divorce from Ben on August 20 this year, right on their second wedding anniversary, and separation proceedings are still ongoing.
