
The singer is in mourning after losing her brother, Christopher Ciccone at the age of 63. Through a post on Instagram, Madonna announced the sad news by sharing moments over the years from professional collaborations and life with him.
"My brother Christopher has passed away," the artist begins her writing. "He was the closest person to me in so many years, it's hard to even explain the bond we had together," she adds.

The "Material Girl" singer says that they were both different types and society often gave them trouble for this approach, but that didn't stop them from loving each other. Madonna reflected on their love and Ciccone's passion for dance when they were younger, describing him as a person given to madness and excitement.
"We danced together on stage at the beginning of my career and at the end. He took on the role of creative director on many tours I organized around the world and I admired him for his passion, sharp tongue and more,” she points out.
The Queen of Pop adds that she did everything to "keep him alive as long as possible", but the cancer was aggressive and in an advanced stage that led to the loss of her brother's life.
Madonna and her late brother were born from the marriage of Silvio Ciccone and Louise Ciccone, while they also have other siblings named Anthony, Martin, Paula and Melania.
