It seems that the famous actress has decided to give up the courts and legal battles with her ex Brad Pitt over the situation of alleged violence during a plane trip. Angelina Jolie has signed this ruling against the Department of Justice and the FBI over documents related to an alleged incident on a plane in 2016 involving her then-husband Brad Pitt.
The actress requested through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in 2021 that FBI documents related to the incident be released to her. They gave details of the incident where Jolie claimed that Pitt was drunk at the time and an act of violence took place that also involved one of their children, which was later denied in court.
This was one of the most important cracks that led to the request for divorce in 2005 by the actress against Brad Pitt. They have since been embroiled in a lengthy legal battle over finances and custody of their children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox.
Their children were reportedly present for the alleged altercation on a private jet, prompting an investigation into Pitt by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services and the FBI. A source said at the time that Pitt became "verbally" and "physically abusive" to one of their children, which he denied. Later in 2016, the FBI closed the investigation without any charges against the famous actor, concluding that there was no abuse of any kind.
The next battle for Jolie and Pitt is over the division of royalties for the Château Miraval winery. A source close to Pitt told People at the time that, "It's incredibly sad that she continues to harp on an event that happened six years ago, adding completely false information."
