It seems that the famous actor has once again returned to one of the most sensational events in his life not only as an artist, but also in a private aspect. Invited to the ceremony of the International Film Festival in San Sebastian, where Depp will debut as a director, but also as an actor in a film with Al Pacino, he reacted again about his ex.
"Everyone has their own story," Depp told reporters at the art event. "Of course, you can say I've been through a lot of things, but I'm fine," the actor said.
Asked by reporters if these statements of his referred to his ex-partner Amber Heard, the actor seems not to have denied such a thing.
"I think we've all been through a lot of things in life. Maybe your story didn't make it into a soap opera while mine did. But we all experience and go through different situations. Mainly, those things that we are able to live and use them, they are never forgotten."
We remember that Johnny and Amber got married in 2015, after admitting that there was an undeniable chemistry between them, but things took an unexpected turn very quickly. In 2017, Heard filed for divorce as well as a temporary protection order against the Pirates of the Caribbean star.
Things seem to have calmed down, but in 2019, the actor sued the "Aquaman" actress over an article she published revealing allegations of physical abuse and partner violence against her. Everything then turned into a TV "circus", at the end of the legal battle it was decided that the actress Heard should pay 10 million dollars as responsible for three accusations of defamation against Depp, while the actor must pay about two million dollars to the actress.
The 61-year-old actor attended the San Sebastian festival to promote his latest film Modi, based on the life of an artist living in 1916 France, set during the same period as World War I.
A biographical drama, with Depp directing and producing the film alongside Al Pacino. This is his second attempt at directing, after the 1997 film "Brave" that was not well received by critics.
