Netflix has bought the rights to a series that will tell the shocking story of Diddy, including allegations of sex trafficking, sexual violence and abuse that he has endured over the years. The series "Diddy Do It?" will come from rapper 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson.
"This is a story with a significant human impact. It's a complicated narrative that spans decades, not just from news headlines or videos that have been seen so far," 50 Cent said in a statement to Variety.
He said that he has been working on such a series for years. There has been a big war between the platforms for its transmission, but Netflix has won the battle.
"While the allegations are troubling, we emphasize that we should remember that Sean Combs' story is not all about hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that the actions of one individual do not affect the entire culture and the wider contribution."
50 Cent will produce the series through G-Unit Film & Television, House of Nonfiction and Texas Crew Productions.
