If you also belong to the group of people who have problems sleeping, then maybe this article is for you! It all started from a video on TikTok published by a user named Shapla Hoque. In the video that has been liked by more than 1.5 million people, the secret that this girl claims for a quiet and fast sleep is shown.
And the solution comes from green salad water! She shows exactly how to prepare this water, by filling a cup with green salad, to which warm water is added. It is left for a few minutes and the salad is removed from there and only the water is consumed.
During the video, Hoque says that she started to feel sleepy immediately and within 30-40 minutes of drinking the water she was enjoying a full and uninterrupted sleep.
In thousands of comments, many other users on TikTok say they want to try this tactic.
"This worked for me as I didn't sleep at all all night," said one follower. Others say they tried it and it didn't work for them. But instead of trying to break down all the attitudes on social networks, it is the doctors who have a more professional idea about this method.

"There are so many 'miracle cures' for sleep problems," says doctor Jade Wu. "I certainly don't blame people for wanting to find such easy solutions to insomnia, but I'm usually suspicious when something seems too good to be true."
Dietitian Sonya Angelone also has her reservations about all these claims related to food or supplements that affect sleep improvement.
In fact, there is only one study that was done to see if salad water could be used to improve sleep, and the subjects were rats, not humans. In the study published in 2017 in the journal Food Science and Biotechnology, researchers found a link between lettuce extract and the amount of time it took mice to fall asleep. Doctors say that this study has many doubts, because another group of mice that did not drink the salad water was not taken into consideration to see the difference in sleep time, so the idea that this type of water is a "savior" for insomnia should be deals with reservations!
