Lady Gaga doesn't feel like you have to deal with rumors that she's a man, even though they've been swirling for years. The creator of the hit "Bad Romance" said that she has always avoided this question during the years of her career.
"The reason why I didn't answer the question was because I didn't want to feel like a victim of this lie. But I thought: "What if a child is 'accused' of this just like a public figure...he would feel ashamed".
She said that the rumors started in 2010, when she published a photo, which was edited and went viral. Everyone told me: "I know there is a rumor that you are a man." "What do you mean by that?" said the Grammy Award winner.
Throughout her career, Lady Gaga has often been forced to change the narrative about herself. "I have been in positions where I had to deal with a rumor about myself, which was not in the interest of people's well-being", she said.
Immediately, her interview went viral and people expressed all their admiration for the singer's answers. "This is why Lady Gaga is incomparable"; "Her eloquence and approach are simply fantastic"; "With or without a penis, she remains the best" were some of the comments on social networks.
This is not the first time that Lady Gaga has spoken about this issue. In a 2011 interview with Anderson Cooper, Gaga said: “Why the hell would I waste my time giving a press release that I don't have a penis? My fans don't care, neither do I."
Earlier in the same interview, Gaga joked, "Maybe I have a penis." Why does it have to be so terrible?".
