Totò Schillaci, the former footballer of the Italian national team, has passed away at the age of 59. Schillaci has also played for important teams such as Juventus and Inter, making an incredible contribution to Italian football and delighting fans around the world.
He was hospitalized in Palermo last week after receiving treatment to stabilize his heart. Schillaci was diagnosed in 2022 with colon cancer.
Schillaci was one of the most important scorers during the 1990 World Cup in Italy.
