Sean "Diddy" Combs will remain in prison despite being found not

Sean "Diddy" Combs was found not guilty on one count of trafficking. The 54-year-old rapper appeared in federal court in Manhattan on Tuesday (September 17, 2024), where the judge ruled that he was not guilty. 

Sean "Diddy" Combs, however, was released without bail because there is a risk that he will leave the country. Prosecutors accuse Combs of creating a "criminal enterprise" whose members, under his direction, engaged in sex trafficking, kidnapping, arson and bribery.
 
Combs and his defense team denied the allegations. Meanwhile, the rapper's trial is pending, and if found guilty, he could face 15 years to life in prison.
 
Combs was arrested on Monday at a hotel in New York. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said in a press conference after the court session:

"Mr. Combs is a fighter...He's not afraid of accusations. He has been waiting for this day to clear his name, because he has not done these things."

Combs was arrested at the Park Hyatt following a federal investigation that also led to raids on his homes in Miami and Los Angeles, where more than 1,000 bottles of lubricant and various narcotics were discovered.
 
The rapper was accused by various people, as well as by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, with whom he has been in a relationship for 10 years. In the indictments brought against the rapper and hip-hop icon, he was accused of abusing, threatening and forcing women to fulfill his sexual desires and, further, his friends.
