The actress has made a decision that is related to her 12-year-old daughter and everything is related to the daily "struggle" that many parents have with the younger generation. Cell phone use and extended hours spent on electronic devices.
Drew Barrymore has chosen to share her decision virtually with everyone through a post on Instagram, giving a message to parents at the same time.
"Ever since I was a kid I wanted someone to say no or stop me from doing a lot of things," she says in the post, highlighting the fact that she lacked boundaries from her parents.
For this reason, Barrymore says she made the decision to take the cell phone away from daughter Olive, who can only use it on weekends or during limited hours.
"I realized that my daughter's life depended on that digital device, her happiness too, and it shocked me a little!" adds the actress, who says that she decided to print every message and every page opened by her daughter and with this fact she faced her, arguing all the consequences that came from the cell phone and the addiction to this device.
"I want to tell parents that we can live with the worry of our children every day. We can be insulted by them, hate each other, but we must know that this is the only safe and slow approach for the good of their future and life," says the actress.

"No one wants their child to be alone in this approach. But if parents join together, they can save their children from this collective problem."
