Some things taste better alone! While many of us are accustomed to the idea that the best trips are planned with a partner, friends or family, it seems that traveling alone has many benefits. The main one? You don't have to worry about your travel companion if he/she likes the hotel, food, places you have chosen to visit etc.
According to a recent report by the hotel and guide company Kayak and OpenTable, about 50% of people plan to take a solo trip by the end of the year.
So what are some of the best destinations for your next solo adventure? These countries are defined as "friendly" for single travelers based on several indicators, such as safety and financial costs. The Kayak and OpenTable team used some data like hotel prices, meals, flights, in short some acceptable indicators that don't "damage" your bank account.
At the top of the list is Berlin! The German capital was rated with maximum points, i.e. 100 points as the best place to travel alone. For people who are interested in history, street art, music, the cheap cost of meals (31 euros) or the price of a hotel stay (168 euros) as an average value, all these factors influenced the ranking.
