Multiple sources confirmed to People and TMZ that Jennifer signed the divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court and set the date of August 26 as the final separation. She signed the divorce herself, without a lawyer present, the sources said.
The singer did not say whether she had a prenuptial agreement, but sources told TMZ that she did not have one. "She tried so hard to make things work and she's heartbroken," the source said. "The children are her top priority, as they always have been," the anonymous person added.
There have been rumors of a split between the two for a long time, and apparently, they weren't just rumours. Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance in 2021, more than 17 years after breaking off their engagement in 2004.
