Pamela Anderson, in an interview for Better Homes & Gardens, talked about her new cookbook and her quiet life on Vancouver Island. Among other things, she said that she gained some new admirers after deciding not to use makeup and to appear natural at various events.
"Now people stop me on the street and say: 'I know, I never liked you before, but I like you now.' And I think that there is a compliment in this sentence", said the 57-year-old woman.
She added that she didn't think anyone would notice that she was makeup-free at Paris Fashion Week in 2023. “It just happened. I didn't want to sit in the makeup chair for 3 hours,'' Anderson said, adding that she would look great with her pouty face and a big Vivienne Westwood hat.
Pamela emphasized that she never sought perfection and that she thought to challenge the idea of ??beauty and the mask that people put on. "As soon as I took off the mask, the whole world started to open", she said, adding:
"This was the beginning of leaving behind an image that I have always had for myself. What was the cartoon character I had created? Ok, it was fun, but I'm not that person anymore."
Pam has previously spoken about her decision to appear without make-up in public.
"I didn't come to Paris Fashion Week and think: 'I'm not going to wear makeup.' It was something that occurred to me while I was dressing in those beautiful clothes. I thought, “I don't want to compete in these clothes. I'm not trying to be the prettiest girl in the room," she said, adding that she felt freer. I feel only freedom. It's liberation," she told Vogue France.
Further, he said:
"Sometimes, you have to challenge beauty. If we all follow youth and the idea of ??what beauty is, based on fashion magazines, then we will be disappointed and maybe even bored".
