The judoka from Kosovo, Laura Fazliu is the next champion, who receives a medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. She defeated the Croatian Katarina Kristo, in the category up to 63 kg, thus winning the first Olympic medal in her career.

Laura beat Katarina in the 'golden score', extra time, which also determined the winner. The 23-year-old won thanks to the punishment received by the Croatian, who made a mistake in the attempt to throw Laura on the 'tatami'.
During this race, Laura suffered a loss to France's Clarisse Agbegnenou, thus losing her right to win a silver medal, however, she was still in contention for the bronze medal, which she won to take home with her. .
