There are still no details on the book in question, but it may relate to Elsa's life story, her experience in prison, after being arrested for being part of a mafia group and other details.
Elsa spoke in an interview on the "Zë me Miran" podcast and shared her experiences, where she recounted her experience during this difficult period.
"That terrible morning, March 16, 2022, while I was sleeping peacefully at 5 o'clock in the morning, sleeping together with my daughter in my arms, 7 policemen appeared at my house, armed to the teeth. They ransack my house to the last detail and found only books, works of art, musical instruments and children's toys," Elsa recalled.
Then she continued:
"They looked at me as strange, because they were looking for something in my house that did not exist, and I kept asking them, I said: "What are you looking for, first of all, from me and what are you looking for here? There is nothing here"! A verbal process where only my cell phone and my daughter's iPad were seized. Everything was absurd. So nothing is found in my house. Nothing found on my phone. Nothing is found regarding my picture. It had nothing to do with my figure, but again they had to execute the order to take me where they took me."
The singer said that the period of isolation was almost brutal and then she also told about the first communication she had in 2 months:
"The first communication... I had a refrain that was: "I am innocent"! I didn't mean to say that. "Please understand me, I am innocent"! Please understand me, I am innocent, I have not done anything. Why am I here?". "We'll explain when your lawyer comes!" (answered), said Elsa.
She indicated that she did not have a lawyer and that she had met the case lawyer after 3 weeks:
"I didn't have a lawyer. I went in there without a lawyer because I never in my life needed a lawyer for the life I've led. I didn't need to. I met the lawyer after three weeks. It's a rare case, because I'm usually told that when these things happen, the lawyer has the right to go see his client right away. I met him after 3 weeks, the first because I didn't have a lawyer and until he was found by my friends and family who were outside this kind of environment and it was difficult for them to find someone honest to helped me. So my refrain was: "I am innocent! I am innocent"! And then I told them to go on Google and see who I was and what I could do and who I really am. I'm an artist, I'm not a criminal! Please go and read about me, hear my voice. Can a person who transmits what he transmits with his emotions, simultaneously do harm to society? To be a criminal?, said the singer, moved.
Elsa added that even her arrest was absurd, since good and evil cannot coexist:
"The two figures cannot stay together because it is impossible for them both to stay together. The beautiful and the ugly in the same body cannot coexist, and very soon everyone realized it. The guards, after seeing who I was, in the following days, totally changed their behavior towards me.
She added:
"We talked in a "normal" way, not as a superior with an inferior being. They tried to help me, to protect me from dangerous individuals", he emphasized, also saying that he was very afraid.
Elsa also confessed that after she was declared innocent, she experienced the triumph and of course, she also mentioned the part of the comments in Albania, saying that she had not read them, but they had shown her. She also explained why she chose never to react, as according to Elsa, it would be another way to make news in the media.
Elsa Lila announced that she will narrate all her memories during this period in a book she is writing.
On March 16 of last year, Elsa Lila was among the 9 people arrested by the Italian police, as a member of a group composed of Italians and Albanians, involved in the sale of drugs.
Italian media, such as "La Repubblica" or "Il Messaggero", reported that Lila was one of 9 arrested by anti-mafia teams in Rome, while 13 arrest warrants had been issued. According to reports, Lila kept the accounts of drug sales.
