Barack Obama's reaction
Barack Obama was one of the public figures who called for Joe Biden's withdrawal. Obama considered it the most difficult decision of the current president.
“I know Joe never gave up before any battle. For him to look at the political landscape and decide that he must pass the torch to a new candidate is undoubtedly one of the most difficult decisions of his life. But I know that he would not make this decision if he did not believe that it is the right one for America", said the former president.
"This is a testament to Joe Biden's love for his country and the example of a true public servant who puts the interests of the American people before his own. Future generations of leaders would do well to follow suit. I am confident that the leaders of our party will be able to organize a process that will produce an outstanding candidate. I believe that Joe Biden's vision of a generous, united and opportunity-giving America will be fully on display at the Democratic Convention in August," he concluded.

The attack on Kamala Harris
Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance accused Harris of lying all along about Joe Biden's mental health.
"Joe Biden has been the worst president I've ever seen in my life and Kamala Harris has been by his side every step of the way. In the last 4 years, she agreed with Biden's open border and fraud policies that increased the cost of housing and food. For 4 years, she lied about Joe Biden's mental health, leaving the nation with a president who can't do the job right. President Trump and I are ready to save America. Whoever is at the top of the list of Democrats, welcome to come," he wrote on social networks.
