Tirana International Airport (TIA) informed people that its computer systems are not affected by the global internet outage, which has paralyzed airports around the globe. However, in the TIA announcement, it is stated that travelers may experience changes in arrival times.
"Tirana International Airport (TIA) confirms that its systems have remained fully operational and unaffected by the recent worldwide IT outage. "Due to disruptions at airports in other countries affected by the IT outage, there may be changes in flight schedules for both arrivals and departures at TIA," the statement said.
It is further added:
"We advise all passengers to verify their flight times directly with their respective airlines or travel agencies. "TIA remains committed to ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers and will continue to closely monitor the situation," said the TIA announcement.
