Do you remember when someone says: "Give me a little cheek to kiss you"? More or less this happened recently in the last meeting of King Charles, who, in order to receive a kiss, broke the rule of the kingdom.
Although the British monarchy is known for its strict rules, this did not stop Charles from chatting with a 91-year-old woman named Kathleen Moriarty during his visit to the Channel Islands and then allowing her to kiss him on the cheek.
In a video, now viral on X, Charles is seen with his wife, Camilla, as he chats with a woman in the crowd. Then, in a surprising move, Charles moves his neck and brings his cheek to the old woman, who kisses him on the cheek.

Moriarty, who was lucky enough to kiss the king, gave an interview to the BBC, where she said: "I said to him, 'Can I give you a kiss, please?' and he gave me the cheek. I just did it. I didn't even plan it, but I enjoyed it. He is very loving and very good, I am satisfied. I thought that when all the pretty young chicks can do it, this old lady can do it too," she said with a laugh.

However, it must be said that this is a breaking of the rules on the part of the king, as in the British monarchy, it is not allowed for the royals to have physical contact with the common people. In cases of greetings, a head movement is enough for men, while for women, a slight bow.
However, this isn't the first time King Charles has let another person kiss him. After the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, the king met an admirer who wanted to kiss him. The king granted his wish, and history repeated itself after almost two years.
